About Me
I’m a home based baker/cake decorator, living in Amarillo, TX. I operate under Texas Cottage Food laws, and I am Food Handler Certified.
I’ve always loved to bake, and in 2013 I started making custom cakes for people other than family. It’s since turned into a passion, and I‘ve definitely learned a lot over the years. I’m self taught, and I still go through a lot of trial and error, but that‘s how you learn.
I have 3 kids, Leah, Aubrey, and Ethan. I made Leah’s first birthday cake in 2005, and then cakes for Aubrey, Ethan, AND my nieces and nephews! Looking back, I had a long way to go, but I thought they looked pretty good back then! AND, everyone starts somewhere!
I love to be challenged, and I love seeing smiles when clients get their cakes! It’s so rewarding, and I can’t imagine doing anything else !
I am also proud and honored to be a part of Icing Smiles, Inc. I applied to be a “sugar angel” a few years ago, and I’m so happy they accepted me! If you’re not familiar with them, they are an amazing organization that provides birthday cakes to critically ill children and their siblings.
